Li Xiang Lan
The title "Li Xiang Lan" (李香兰) is the name of a famous Japanese woman, born in China in 1920, who was a singer, actor, TV personality, politician, and writer. (See the Wikipedia article "Yoshiko Otaka".) This song doesn't seem relevant to her. It is about a man regretfully gazing at a faded photo of a lost lover. The singer Jacky Cheung 张学友 is said to be the most famous and successful recording artist in Cantonese pop's short history. Koji Tamaki 玉置浩二 wrote the song.
