Let's Do It (Let's Fall in Love)

"Let's Do It, Let's Fall in Love" was written in 1928 by Cole Porter. It was introduced in Porter's first Broadway success, the musical Paris (1928). The song was later used in the English production of "Wake Up and Dream" (1929). The song has been revived many times since 1928. Notable recordings include in chronological order those by Rudy Vallée (1928) , Mary Martin, Eartha Kitt, Louis Armstrong, Hildegard Knef (German version), Ella Fitzgerald, Joan Jett and Paul Westerberg (Tank Girl 1995), Frank Sinatra, Chico Buarque and Elza Soares (Brazilian version), Alanis Morissette (De-Lovely 2005), Diana Ross, Molly Ringwald (The Secret Life of the American Teenager 2008).
