Jekyll & Hyde (Musical)

Jekyll & Hyde is a musical based on the 1886 novel The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. Originally conceived for the stage by Frank Wildhorn and Steve Cuden, the musical features music by Wildhorn, a book (non-singing dialogue) by Leslie Bricusse, and lyrics by Wildhorn, Bricusse, and Cuden. Following a run in Houston, Texas, the musical embarked on a tour of the United States prior to its Broadway debut in 1997. Many international productions have since been staged including two subsequent North American tours, two tours of the United Kingdom, a concert version, and a re-vamped United States tour in 2012. Jekyll & Hyde was nominated for, and won, several important awards.

Frank Wildhorn (born in 1958) is an American composer known for both his musicals and popular songs. He is well known for his work on the musical Jekyll & Hyde, which ran four years on Broadway; and for writing the popular song Where Do Broken Hearts Go? for Whitney Houston.

Steve Cuden (born in 1955) is an American screenwriter, director, lyricist, playwright, author, theater lighting-designer, artist, and teacher. He is well known for his work on the musical Jekyll & Hyde as well as his writing for numerous television series.

Leslie Bricusse (born in 1931) is an English composer, lyricist, and playwright. He is well-known for his work in musicals and in movie theme-songs. Bricusse has worked with many composers, including Anthony Newley.
