"It Might Be You" was composed by Dave Grusin, with lyrics by Alan & Marilyn Bergman. It was performed by singer/songwriter Stephen Bishop in the 1982 film Tootsie, starring Dustin Hoffman and Jessica Lange, and became a popular song at weddings during the 1980s. Bishop's recording peaked at #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1983 and spent eight weeks in the Top 40. It also spent two weeks at #1 on the adult contemporary chart.
