Imagine

Imagine is a song co-written by Yoko Ono and her husband, English rock musician and former Beatle John Lennon. Released in 1971, it is one of his most well-known songs, and many critics consider it to be his magnum opus. Lennon declared Imagine to be as good as anything he had written with the Beatles. Rolling Stone magazine ranked it the third greatest song of all time.

Among the most successful and acclaimed performers and writers in the history of popular music, the Beatles (1960 - 1970) were an English rock band, formed in Liverpool, England. Beginning in 1962, the group consisted of John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney (bass guitar, vocals), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals). Rooted in skiffle and 1950s rock-and-roll, the group later worked in many genres ranging from pop ballads to psychedelic rock, often incorporating classical and other elements in innovative ways. Enormously popularity, their influence extend into the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s.
