I've Got You Under My Skin

Composed by Cole Porter in 1936, I've Got You Under My Skin was introduced in the musical Born to Dance. In 1956, the version by Nelson Riddle, performed by Frank Sinatra and Riddle's orchestra, was a big hit. It became Sinatra's signature song and he re-recorded it a few times, including a duet with Bono of U2 in 1993.

I've Got You Under My Skin has been recorded by Louis Prima and Keely Smith, Cab Calloway, Josephine Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Dinah Washington, and many other artists. In 1966, the song was a top-ten hit for The Four Seasons.

Cole Porter (1891 - 1964) was an American composer and songwriter. Classically trained, he was one of the major songwriters for the Broadway musical stage. Porter wrote both the lyrics and the music for his songs.

Among his most successful musicals are Kiss Me Kate, Fifty Million Frenchmen, DuBarry Was a Lady, Anything Goes, and Can-Can. His many hit-songs include Night and Day, I Get a Kick Out of You, and I've Got You Under My Skin. He also composed scores for several movies.
