Honesty by Billy Joel

Honesty is a 1978 song by American singer and songwriter Billy Joel. It reached number twenty-four on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and was certified gold by Recording Industry Association of Japan for ringtone download sales of over 100,000 units. Joel performed the song live several times with Elton John and later with Bryan Adams. Honesty has been covered and sampled by various artists, most notably by American recording artist Beyoncé Knowles.

Billy Joel (born in 1949) is an American pianist, singer-songwriter, and classical composer. He had Top 40 hits in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, all of which he wrote himself. He is a six time Grammy Award winner, a twenty-three time Grammy nominee, and has sold over 150 million records worldwide.

He was inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame (1992), the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1999), and the Hit Parade Hall of Fame (2009). In 2008, he was ranked number twenty-three on Billboard magazine's list of the Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists.
