Hey Jude

Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Hey Jude is a popular Beatles song released in 1968. In 2001, the song was inducted into the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2004, it was ranked number 8 on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". In 2010, Rolling Stone ranked it number 7 on The Beatles' 100 Greatest Songs. Channel 4 (a British television station) ranked it third on its list of the 100 Greatest Singles. The Amusement & Music Operators Association ranked Hey Jude the 11th-best jukebox single of all time.

Among the most successful and acclaimed performers and writers in the history of popular music, the Beatles (1960 - 1970) were an English rock band, formed in Liverpool, England. Beginning in 1962, the group consisted of John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney (bass guitar, vocals), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals). Rooted in skiffle and 1950s rock-and-roll, the group later worked in many genres ranging from pop ballads to psychedelic rock, often incorporating classical and other elements in innovative ways. Enormously popularity, their influence extend into the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s.
