Finding Neverland (soundtrack)

Finding Neverland is the original soundtrack album of the 2004 movie Finding Neverland starring Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, Julie Christie, Radha Mitchell, and Dustin Hoffman. The original score and songs were composed and produced by Jan A. P. Kaczmarek. The album won the Academy Award for Best Original Score, and the National Board of Review Award for Outstanding Film Music Composition. It was also nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music, and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score.

Jan Andrzej Paweł Kaczmarek (born in 1953) is a Polish composer who has lived and worked in the United States since 1989. He has written the scores for more than 50 feature movies and documentaries, including Finding Neverland. Other notable scores were for the movies Unfaithful, Evening, The Visitor, and Washington Square. In addition to his work in movies, Kaczmarek was commissioned to write two symphonic and choral pieces for two important national occasions in Poland: Cantata for Freedom (2005) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Solidarity movement, and Oratorio 1956 (2006) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of a bloody uprising in Poznań, Poland, against the totalitarian government. Both premieres were broadcast live on Polish national television.
