Face Down

"Face Down" is the first single from the 2006 album, Don't You Fake It by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. The song was written by lead singer Ronnie Winter to bring attention to domestic violence. “Face Down” blends propulsive, chugging guitars, a steady beat and yearning pop vocals and climaxes in a detonation of dissonance and a volley of screams. It reached #26 on the U.S. Hot 100, #16 on the U.S. Pop 100, #3 on the U.S. Alternative Songs, and #20 on the U.S. Hot Digital Tracks. It is notable for being one of the few songs in recent times to include screaming and reach the top forty of the Billboard Hot 100 (versions without the screaming were released later). The song also reached #4 on the New Zealand Singles Chart.
