"Don't Blame Me" was written by Jimmy McHugh, lyrics by Dorothy Fields. The song was published in 1933. The song received one significant "rock era" remake in a mellow ballad version by the Everly Brothers, released by Warner Bros. Records in 1961, which reached #20 on the Billboard hit list.

Notable Recordings: Rudy Vallee; Leo Reisman & his Orchestra with vocal by Howard Phillips; Ethel Waters; Annette Hanshaw; Betty Garrett; Kate Smith; and Ella Fitzgerald. Boston Commons won the International Barbershop Competition with this as one of four songs in 1982.
