Czerny The School of Velocity Op. 299

Czerny's School of Velocity (Die Schule der Geläufigkeit), Op. 299, is a set of forty pedagogic piano-pieces first published in 1833.

Carl Czerny (1791 – 1857) was an Austrian pianist, composer, and teacher. His music was influenced by his teachers, Clementi, Hummel, Salieri, and Beethoven. His many compositions include masses, requiems, symphonies, concertos, sonatas, and string quartets. Czerny is best remembered for his books of studies for the piano, such as The School of Velocity and The Art of Finger Dexterity.
