Ennio Morricone

Cinema Paradiso is a piece from the soundtrack to the award-winning 1988 movie with the same name. For composing that soundtrack, Ennio Morricone and his son Andrea Morricone won a BAFTA Award.

Ennio Morricone (born in 1928) is an Italian composer and conductor. One of the most prolific and influential composers of his era, he is famous for his more than five hundred musical productions for movies and television. In 2007, Clint Eastwood presented him with an honorary Academy Award "for his magnificent and multifaceted contributions to the art of film music".
