Bach, C. P. E. Works
Solfeggietto (H 220, Wq. 117: 2) is a short solo keyboard piece in C minor composed by C. P. E. Bach. Played at a tempo of allegretto (or presto to prestissimo, by some), it contains changing C minor arpeggios and fast sixteenth notes, and should be played at a consistent pace.
Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714 -1788) was a German composer who played a major role in the transition from the Baroque to the Classical period. Greatly admired by composers such as Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven, C. P. E. Bach was a son of Johann Sebastian Bach and a godson of Georg Philipp Telemannn.
