Harry Akst (1894 - 1963) was an American songwriter. He wrote many movie scores and several musicals. Hit recordings of his 1925 song Dinah, written with Sam M. Lewis and Joe Young, were made by Bing Crosby, The Boswell Sisters, Ethel Waters, Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, The Mills Brothers, Sam Donahue, and Ted Lewis. He was inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1983.

Benny Davis (1895 - 1979) was a vaudeville performer and lyricist of popular songs. His most famous piece was Baby Face, and he wrote many others, including I Still Get A Thrill and Carolina Moon. For Broadway, Davis wrote the scores for the 1927 show Artists and Models and for the 1929 show Sons o' Guns. He is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
