Arrival of the Birds

Composed and performed by the music group The Cinematic Orchestra, Arrival of the Birds is a piece from the soundtrack of the 2008 British-American nature-documentary movie The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos. The piece was released as a single in 2012. Arrival of the Birds was used in the 2014 movie about Stephen Hawking called The Theory of Everything, and in a 2012 commercial for the perfume Acqua di Gioia by Giorgio Armani.

The Cinematic Orchestra is a British "nu-jazz" and electronic music group formed in 1999 by Jason Swinscoe. It has released several albums and singles. The Cinematic Orchestra's soundtrack for the movie The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos won the award for best original score at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival in Wyoming, USA, in 2009.
