Anything Goes

Anything Goes is a song from the musical Anything Goes (1934). It has been covered by many artists, including Frank Sinatra (1956), Ella Ftzgerald (1956 and 1972), Tony Bennett with Count Basie and his Orchestra (1958), and the pop-rock band Harpers Bizarre (1967).

Cole Porter wrote the music and lyrics for the musical, which includes other famous songs such as You're the Top and I Get a Kick Out of You. Since its debut on Broadway, Anything Goes has received numerous awards, has been revived several times in the United States and Britain, and has been filmed twice. In July of 2010, the Roundabout Theatre Company announced that Anything Goes will return to Broadway in March/April of 2011.
