Anna Karenina: Soundtrack

Anna Karenina is a 2012 British historical romance movie with music by Dario Marianelli. Adapted from Leo Tolstoy's 1877 novel of the same name, the movie is about a Russian woman and her tragic affair. It earned four nominations at the 85th Academy Awards, six nominations at the 66th British Academy Film Awards, and six nominations at the 17th Satellite Awards. Additionally, Dario Marianelli's soundtrack was nominated for the 2012 BAFTA Award for Best Film Music.

Dario Marianelli (born in 1963) is an Italian composer of piano, orchestral, and movie music. He composed the soundtracks for The Brothers Grimm (2005), Pride & Prejudice (2005), Atonement (2007), and Anna Karenina (2012). For each of the latter three soundtracks he received an Oscar nomination for "Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score". In 2008, Marianelli won both an Oscar and a Golden Globe for the score of Atonement.
