And I Love You So

And I Love You So is a popular song written by folk singer and guitarist Don McLean. It was released on his 1970 debut album Tapestry. The song has been recorded by many artists in the years since McLean's original version. In particular it was a major hit for both Perry Como and Elvis Presley.

Don McLean (born in 1945) is an American singer-songwriter. He has composed many albums and is best known for his 1971 album American Pie, inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002. McLean was inaugurated into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2004. Garth Brooks presented the award and said "Don McLean: his work, like the man himself, is very deep and very compassionate. His pop anthem American Pie is a cultural phenomenon".
