Composed by Yann Tiersen, Amélie is the soundtrack to the 2001 French motion picture Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain ( or simply Amélie).The movie was nominated for a French Academy Award and for a Golden Globe Award.

Guillaume Yann Tiersen (born in 1970) is a French musician and composer. His musical style, particularly when he employs toy and folk instruments, is similar to Penguin Cafe Orchestra and Pascal Comelade, but his more serious work is reminiscent of Frédéric Chopin, Erik Satie, Philip Glass and Michael Nyman.
