Alexander Kobylansky Works

Alexander Kobylyansky's Etude #7, IAK 2, is the last of his Seven Octave Etudes, a set of Romantic pieces composed in the early twentieth-century, and long used for teaching purposes.

Alexander Nikolayevich Kobylyansky (1881 - 1942) was a Russian pianist and composer. He studied at the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, and was a classmate of the composers Sergei Prokofiev and Nikolai Myaskovsky. He taught piano at the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory from 1912 to 1942.
