(Everything I Do) I Do It For You

Written by Bryan Adams, Michael Kamen, and Robert John "Mutt" Lange, (Everything I Do) I Do It for You is a song sung by Adams on the soundtrack of the 1991 movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and on Adams' 1991 album Waking Up the Neighbours. In 1991, Adams' single version topped the charts in thirty countries, was the best-selling song of 1991, and was one of the best-selling singles of all time.

In 1992, (Everything I Do) I Do It for You was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song. For writing the song, Adams, Kamen, and Lange won the Grammy Award (in 1992) for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television. Subsequently, the song has been covered by numerous singers worldwide.

Bryan Adams (born in 1959) is a Canadian rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, bassist, producer, photographer, and philanthropist. He has won dozens of awards and nominations. In 2008, Adams was ranked 38th on the list of All-Time Top Artists by the Billboard Hot 100 50th Anniversary Charts. His foundation "The Bryan Adams Foundation", provides grants for children's education, the elderly, victims of war and natural disasters, and those suffering from mental or physical illness. Adams was awarded the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia for his contributions to popular music and for his philanthropic work.
