Phuc D. Nguyen received his Ph.D. in Engineering from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, in 2018. He served as a lecturer-researcher at PTIT (2018–2020) and was a postdoctoral researcher at ENSEA, Cergy-Paris, France, in 2019. He joined NTT Communication Science Laboratories as a research associate in 2020. He is currently a researcher at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan.

He has received several awards, including the IEEE ATC’18 Best Paper Award and Best Oral Presentation Awards at IEEE GCCE’24, ICFCC’17, and FOSCOM’18. His research interests focus on AI-driven models for 6G wireless communications, UAV communications, and hardware, embedded, and simulation platforms for wireless and optical systems.

He is currently a senior member of IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), and a member of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE).
