Phuc D. NGUYEN received a B.Sc.(honordegree in Electronics and Telecommunications in 2012, and an M.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering - Microelectronics in 2015, both from the Vietnam National University (VNU-HCM). From 2012 to 2015, He was a lecturer assistant at Vietnam National University - HCMC, University of Science (HCMUS). He received the Doctor of Engineering degree at Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan in 2018. Phuc's been affiliated with the Posts and Telecommunication Institute of Technology, Ho Chi Minh Campus as a lecturer-researcher in 2018-2020. He was a postdoctoral scholar at École Nationale Supérieure de l'Electronique et de ses Applications, Cergy-Paris, France in 2019. Since Fall 2020, Phuc joined the NTT Communication Science Laboratories in Japan as a researcher. Phuc is a recipient of the best paper award in ATC'18 and the best oral presentation awards in ICFCC'17, and FOSCOM'18.

His research interests include Optical Wireless Communications, Error-Correcting Codes, FPGA-based hardware architectures.
He is currently a regular member of IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), IEEE Young Professionals and IEEE Photonics Society.
