Welcome to the PTO Website!

The PTO of Pennsbury High School invites YOU to become a supporter of
this important organization!  With the financial and volunteer backing of the PTO,
we are able to enhance many areas of the educational and extra-curricular experiences
of our students.  Your contribution of $5.00 supports our efforts; in addition, it affords you the opportunity to receive e-mail updates of school happenings, as well as voting privileges at meetings.

The e-mail list is only compiled from members who support the PTO for the 2016-2017 school year, so make sure you return the form or join online now!

When: Friday, April 28th
Time: 7-10 pm
Where: Falcon Gym at West

Tickets are $15 (cash or check – PHS SAA) and will be sold Monday –Thursday (April 24-27)
before and after school in both buildings.  Tickets will also be sold Friday, the 28th, in the morning only.
Students must show a picture ID to purchase a ticket and to enter the dance.  They must also turn in a
completed guidelines form.  If your child is bringing a student from another school, please allow time to
get this form signed.

Parent volunteers are needed to work in the coat room the evening of the dance.  Volunteers are needed
from 6:40-10:30 pm.  You can work a shift or the entire night.  You do not have to be a 10th grade parent to volunteer.  Also, food donations are needed (cookies, brownies, soft pretzels, cut fruit/veggies, cheese trays…).  Pizza and water will be provided by the Student Council.  Food donations can be dropped off at the main
office at West on the day of the dance.   The 10th grade parent representative is Theresa Thoma.
Please click here sign up to volunteer or donate food.

Prom Painting is Going on Now!

Prom painting continues every week, Monday-Thursday, from 6:30-8:30 pm at East.
Please consider coming out to paint.  It is through everyone’s help that the Pennsbury Prom
continues to be such a wonderful success.  No experience is needed and all are welcome (any parent
from any grade, in fact, you don’t even have to have a student at the school).

If you are interesting in helping out with the Senior Prom Decorations, please contact
one of the following  parents:

Taking the keys is not enough!

Spring is a season when teenagers reach milestones that are important and which we like to celebrate. Graduations, proms and formals are times when teens are more at risk to engage in underage drinking. Some parents may actually allow or encourage them to drink alcohol in the home. It is very important to understand that this is not a safe, healthy or legal practice. Pennsylvania law says it is illegal to serve alcohol to minors, period. Adults who violate the law can be fined or even jailed. So for everyone’s sake please remember, Parents Who Host Lose the Most Don’t be a party to Underage Drinking!

What PTO Volunteers Are Needed For:

Please check your e-mail often for shout-outs for help from the Pennsbury High PTO.  Remember, you never have to have a child in the grade that is ‘asking’ for help.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
  • Parent grade representatives (2 per grade)
  • Working in the coat check & food donations for 9 th (Feb.) & 10 th (April) grade dances
  • Sports Night (volunteering to work in the food court & spirit wear sales  - March)
  • Prom (painting, food service, coat check, ticket sales, silverware rolling…ongoing through May)
By getting involved in school activities, the more you learn what's going on at the High School!!!  If you are interested in helping out in any of the above areas, please write it on the bottom of your registration form and we will contact you.  You can also contact us directly, pennsburypto@gmail.com.  And don't forget to add our email to your address book so we our emails don't end up in your junk/spam folder.

Where Does The Money Go?

During the 2016-2017 School Year, the PTO supported the following:
  • Teachers’ wish lists (Applied Engineering/Tech Ed Dept., Music Dept., Phys. Ed. Dept.)
  • Donating 20 stockings to the Salvation Army Holiday Drive
  • Volunteering and donating food for school dances
  • Welcome back breakfast for teachers
  • Donating to the Senior Prom

Clearances for All Volunteers

The well-being and safety of all students are a top priority in the Pennsbury School District.
Please be aware that parents who volunteer in the school, and parents who volunteer to be a
field trip chaperone must obtain a background check/clearance in advance.
This will be strictly enforced to comply with District Policy and to ensure the safety of the children.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and compliance with this policy.
Please visit the school website for further information.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact the PTO at pennsburypto@gmail.com
