PHOENIX HEDGE LAYING REPORT
from Tim and Heather Clarke. 5 January 2018

Heather put on a display of some of Sylvia Kelly’s hedge materials and also used her tree labels on the hedge plants.
There was a lot of interest from passers-by and some people had turned up as a result of the publicity, so it was all very good PR.
Heather and I probably spent more time talking to people about the hedge and its history than we did actually hedge-laying but fortunately the others got on with the task.
Many thanks for all the support.

**PHOENIX HEDGE WORKING PARTY

A reminder from Tim Clarke:

It's the first Friday of the month today, 5 October.

There will be the usual maintenance session from 4pm onward at Phoenix Hedge.

I don’t think there is much to do so we will probably stop around 5pm.

However, help is always much appreciated.

Do come along and join the other volunteers!
Photographs below taken by Tony Wright in March, 2018 - Many thanks to all concerned!

Following the sad death in October, 2016 of our Secretary, Sylvia Kelly we want to reassure all our members and supporters that it is our intention to continue with the maintenance etc. of this unique medieval hedge.

Tributes to Sylvia can be seen via this link: https://sites.google.com/site/phoenixhedge/newsletter/2016-newsletter
