A journalist, editor, managing editor and general manager for Reuters since 1980. Since retiring from Reuters in 2014 I have been teaching geopolitics, economics and journalism at universities in Taiwan, and latterly working as Training Editor for the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong for four years. I'm currently enjoying retirement in both Taiwan and France.
