Test policies:

  • Tests will be 50 minutes long and given at the usual lecture time and place.

  • No calculator, notes, or other resources are allowed.

  • Tests are cumulative in the sense that students are responsible for material from the entire semester, but the primary focus of each test will be the material covered since the previous test. The focus of each test is listed above.

Resources for studying:

  • My lecture notes, our homework assignments, and the textbook (which contains many practice problems) are all good resources for studying.

  • Professor Clark Bray's website contains many past exams as well as study tips (main website; past exams page).

    • Note: These should not be interpreted as "practice tests," since they were written by a different professor in a different semester. But they should give you some idea of what tests in Math 212 might be like. I recommend that you avoid looking at the solutions as much as possible to practice solving problems on your own.
