Piedmont Hills High School - Class of 1970
Thank you to everyone who attended — such a happy and friendly crowd!
Like so many other special events in 2020, our 50th reunion was postponed due to COVID — but we finally gathered in 2022 for a much-anticipated celebration and called it "Class of '70 Turns 70!"
We held a casual buffet dinner on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at The Drying Shed restaurant in San José, right in the old neighborhood, not far from Piedmont Hills and Alum Rock Park. It was a very enjoyable evening — so fun to see everyone again and catch up after so many years.
We’d like to give special recognition to the Crowder family for their generous donation in memory of the Crowder siblings we’ve lost: Eddie, Kathie, and our classmate LeAnne, who passed in 2022. They are forever in our hearts. Visit our In Memoriam page to see tributes to other classmates we’ve lost over the years.
A beautiful memory table was created by Loretta (Essenmacher) Jaramillo and Melanie Qualls — a fantastic job that added such a meaningful touch to the evening. Thank you both!
Much appreciation also goes to Jorge Gildelatorre and Shelley Wills-Gildelatorre, our chief photographers, and to photo contributors Ron Abad, Bobbie Cadwalader, Andrea Michels, Sherry Shaffer, and Diane Dunn. Your photos help preserve these memories — and if you see someone missing, feel free to send us more! Just write for instructions on how to upload.
And of course, a huge thank you to our planning committee: Bobbie Cadwalader, Mona Lee DeVlaminck, Denise (Essenmacher) Hooshiar, Andrea Michels, and Bob Yasukawa — we couldn’t have done it without you.
