I began my study of violin making in 2007 from master maker, Will Bartruff. Most of that experience was via correspondence, but I was also able to visit his workshop in Minneapolis for valuable personal instruction.
In following years, I attended a number of the Southern California Violin Makers Workshop (SCVMW) sessions hosted by Jim Brown and taught by Michael Darnton. I learned quite a lot in those workshops.
These days I'm studying with Corvus Kwok, a Hong Kong based luthier and friend I met in Claremont.
Besides numerous violins, I've made some electric guitars, an electric bass, and done some repair and restoration work.
Although I've done a few commissions in the past, most of my instrument work is just for fun. That's really what making is all about.
