Feb 24 2019 - each fire station seems to have its own Chief - some locations have a fire station on every street corner - there might be only 3 or 4 high speed highways in the entire county - there are many narrow 2 lane winding hilly roads - maybe 5 fire stations in smaller towns have closed in maybe the last 10 years - ambulances seem to be mostly 3rd service - several small boros have their own PDs - rest of county is patrolled by State Police maybe - State Forestry must have a few units in the area somewhere - at least 1 FD collects dues - Centralia has a smoldering mine fire that has been burning for maybe 20 years - local government units are (boroughs + citys + townships) - Radio Reference wiki has list of all FD numbers (based on municipality) - county has a 6 channel 152 mhz TRS - legacy public safety radio channels were at 46 Mhz for fire/ems and 155 mhz for police
