William Young Ottley studied Italian Art about ten Years staying mainly in Florence.Benozzo Gozzoli (1400-1478) created this Fresco painting for the Campo Santo at Pisa
This etching is contained in his rare publication 'The Most Eminent Masters of the EARLY FLORENTINE SCHOOL' London 1826It was dedicated to John Flaxman ,Esq. R.A.
