I am a theoretical physicist working on the fields of condensed matter and quantum information. I am an Auxiliary Researcher at the Center of Physics and Engineering of Advanced Materials [CeFEMA] at Instituto Superior Técnico [Técnico] under the FCT Investigator Programme [IF], and an invited auxiliary Professor at Técnico's Physics Departement [DF].

I am interested in aspects of correlated materials in- and out-of-equilibrium, including: localized magnetic moments, superconductivity, and quantum criticality, with applications in nano-devices for quantum sensing and quantum information.

Dissertation topics are proposed in the areas of open quantum systems, quantum information, quantum thermodynamics and transport. Additional topics within these areas can be considered upon request.
