Sleffie McBing says: You think you know better, Kiki totally, but I tell you: Likewise with stealth, the lack of light is extremely crucial for hiding as well. As regards to your argument about not finding the lock to pick. A well trained lockpicker does so on touch and feel... needing light isn't important. Not to mention that the act of lockpicking is an illegal one that you don't want people to notice.
