Dr. Paul D. Cowell

I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Forward College (Paris), where I am also the Director of Learning and Teaching. I aleo direct the Open Bachelor's degree. I am a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA), an Associate of the Economics Network, and a contributor to CORE. In 2022, I was part of the QAA Advisory Group and helped to produce the most recent Benchmark Statement for Economics.

I am passionate about higher education in both my research and my teaching, and I regularly contribute to the development and evaluation of pedagogy across the University. I am also research active in the nexus of behavioural economics, pedagogy, and education economics. I am particularly interested in analysing policies through natural experiments and estimating treatment effects.

My PhD in Economics was awarded by the University of Stirling in 2018.

I also have a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCert LTHE).
