Paul Wadden, Ph.D. is an essayist, poet, and professor. His articles on culture and politics have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and many other newspapers and magazines. His articles on composition, literature, and language teaching have been featured in Composition Studies, College Literature, and TESOL Quarterly. His books include A Handbook for Teaching English at Japanese Colleges and Universities (Oxford University Press), The Rhetoric of Self in Robert Bly and Adrienne Rich (Lang), and more than 50 other textbooks and volumes related to language-learning, vocabulary acquisition, composition, writing, test-taking, and academic English. He is a senior lecturer in the English for Liberal Arts Program of International Christian University in Tokyo.
