Teaching

I have taught Mathematics at several levels.

From 2003 -- 2006 I taught Mathematics for arts and sciences classes at the private high school Saint Michel Amparibe, Antananarivo Madagascar.

I was a part-time Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Antananarivo and taught Geometry for second year mathematics students during 2005-2006.

I worked as a Tutor (or Teaching Assistant) at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, South Africa. I was involved in teaching, among others, Python programming, Algebra, Mathematical Solving, Financial Mathematics, Differential Equations, Solitons,... which were all advanced and graduate courses.

During my PhD study I taught several undergraduates courses for Engineering, Physics, Actuarial students at the University of Pretoria. To cite a few, I taught Calculus I, Calculus II and Differential Equations.

The Mathematics for Finance and Insurance page give an overview of a Master course ""501.636 14W 1SSt UE Aktuelle Probleme aus Finanz- und Versicherungsmathematik (Mathematics for Finance and Insurance)"" I gave at the Techinsche Universitaet Graz during the winter semester 2014-2015.

The link for Statistics with Matlab directs you to a course in (or rather a review of) statistics and its applications in Engineering for the winter semester 2015-2016. The students are all graduate engineering students and have a little background in (or forgot) Mathematics. Thus, the course contents and materials were chosen, soften to be accessible and they may offend the hardcore mathematicians. This course is co-taught with Prof. Hausenblas.

I also self-developed the course Introduction to Mathematical Finance and Probability for engineers. A synopsis of the content can be found here (you can also follow this link).
