Paul Jach has been working in the arts since 1998, when receiving his BFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. While there, he created event posters for The Fillmore West and Warfield Auditorium for such artists as Fiona Apple, Blur and the John Spencer Blues Explosion. In 2010 Paul received his masters in studio art education with distinction from Kean University in Union, NJ.
In 2001, Paul formed the art collective, Speakeasy Art. The name references the alternate venues where the collective got it's start and the independent feel of the work. In January of 2009, Paul opened Speakeasy Art Gallery located in Boonton, NJ, exhibiting established and emerging artists. In recent years, the gallery has shifted the focus to showcasing the work of Paul, and his wife, Kristy Brucale Jach. While still inviting other artists to show in the space alongside them. Since 2024, Paul has been making art more consistently than ever before, and participating in group, duo, and solo shows throughout the country.
As a mixed media artist, Paul is inspired to repurpose industrial elements and found objects into unique works of art. His pieces all have a sense of playfulness and experimentation, while manipulating materials and developing techniques. By exploring industrial mediums such as metal and wood in the field of fine art, Paul invites viewers to see the beauty and potential in the seemingly mundane.Â
