New article on booming sand

• January 2012 We studied "booming sand" by means of numerical simulations. Our result suggest that the grain surface properties are very important to the phenomenon of singing dunes, and supports the hypothesis that the grains must have an external layer of silica gel that is softer than the grain interior.
