This website is for all those who enjoy playing the cello.

It is a mixed bag drawing on my experience and ideas over the last 60 years.

I hope there is something for everyone. There are - or will be - articles on:

            • Suggestions on how young teachers can manage the early stages of their teaching

            • Ways of coaching Chamber Music groups

            • How to learn to play without having tension in your body

            • How to mentally practise the cello when you are travelling without it.

Each month I will put one of my cello arrangements on this site.

Shortly there will also be an open forum for anybody who would like to share ideas.

In the first few months the website will be mainly follow-up material for those attending my courses,

this spring in Italy and South Africa, but after June there will be more teaching suggestions and materials for everyone.
