Parley Petanque Club nestles behind the Memorial Hall on Christchurch Road in West Parley. There is ample free parking. From the traffic lights look for the small left turn just before the Curlew Public House. Coming from Hurn look for the entrance immediately after the Curlew.
Welcome to the sister website of Parley Pétanque Club serving Ferndown, West Parley, Ringwood, West Moors and East Dorset. Parley is, we believe, one of Dorset's most welcoming and friendly clubs as well as being one of the most progressive sports clubs in the area. Our terrain lies at the home of Parley Sports and Social Club in West Parley. We have 8 terrains and space for up to 48 players at one time.
Pétanque, sometimes called boule or French Boule, is a sport that is enjoyed by all the family, it can be played for fun in the garden or more seriously in local leagues and up to European and World Championship levels. Indeed there are serious proposals to introduce it into the Olympics.
At Parley parking is free and close to the terrain. Players of all abilities are welcome and anyone wishing to have a go can simply turn up on our club sessions where you will be introduced to the rudiments of the game and taught the basic skills to enjoy the game.

Junior members are welcome at Parley. In the first instance we prefer that they come with a parent of guardian but after they understand the game they are welcome to join us and could even play in our league teams. We also work in local schools and run competitions for Dorset Juniors.
I have never played before am I too old?
You are never too old. Age is not a problem indeed some of our best and most active members are proud to be enjoying their life after work.
Do I have to play in competitions?
Some of our members prefer to play socially and are not included in league squads however after practice and some experience many decide they are willing to join in. The decision is yours.
I have no equipment what do I need?
We can provide boule to get you going. The only thing you need to remember is that you need to wear comfortable shoes. Sandals and flip-flops are not acceptable for safety reasons.
Joining Us
We offer visitors the opportunity of finding out whether they enjoy the sport or indeed enjoy our club with three free taster sessions before making your mind up about joining. After that you can play on a 'pay and play basis' or pay the annual subscription of £20. We look forward to seeing you soon.
