Volunteering

We will be hosting 2-3 meets this season. Without the help of volunteers, we cannot run the meet. Please contact us if you would be interesting in helping out!

NEW AS OF THIS YEAR

Families will be required to volunteer at either the intrasquad meet, or the home meet. If you are unable to do this, please explain your situation to Coach Jamie because it is an expectation that if your children participate in the meets, that you are willing to help the meets be possible by volunteering!

• 4 set up - help set up tables, chairs, lane lines (night before)
• 1 announcer - announces next event/order of events
• 1 head timer - keeps time in case one timer misses the start or has problems
• 8 timers - keeps the time for each lane. We need 2 shifts of 4 timers each
• 4 time runners - runs the slips from the timer to the ribbon table. 2 shifts of 2 time runners each
• 4 ribbon writers - writes the swimmers names on the ribbons. 2 shifts of 2 ribbon writers each
• 1 Clerk of Course
• 2 Clerk of Course assistants - lines up the swimmers & gets them to the lanes
• 2 take down help - helps take down tables, chairs, etc after the meet
• 2 Concessions helpers - 2 shifts of 1 person

At the very minimum we must have 21 volunteers, so please check your schedules. We will likely need 1-2 volunteers to the city meet as well so if those dates don't work, check the city meet announcements TBD.
