Are walkers allowed?
Yes! We offer a family-friendly 2-mile walk.
Who benefits from the event proceeds?
All of the race proceeds are donated to the Parkville Nature Sanctuary and Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter.
PACKET PICK UP / REGISTRATION / RACE DAY
Where is Packet Pickup?
Olde Mill Emporium - located a block west of the English Landing parking lot.
Walk up the hill into the English Landing Center, past the train car, and look for the big water wheel on your left.
When is Packet Pickup?
Packet pickup for pre-registered participants, as well as, late on-site registration will be Wednesday before Thanksgiving from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm and Thanksgiving morning from 7:00 am - 8:30 am
Is there race day registration?
Yes. – Starts at 7:00 am
Is there race day Packet Pickup?
There will be race day packet pickup at the Olde Mill Emporium. It is recommended you arrive early to avoid a long line on race day and potentially miss the start of the race. Packet pickup will open at 7:00 AM on race day.
Can someone else pick up my packet?
If you are unable to pick up your packet you may have someone pickup on your behalf.
Do you offer Group Packet Pick-up?
Yes, Picking up Packets for your Family or a Group of people and want to save time? Notify us by the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and we will get your packets ready for you.
Just email: slspurplecat@gmail.com with the names of all registered entrants in your group... Then skip the lines and go straight to the Group Pick-Up Table!!
Do you mail out packets?
NO, we do not mail out participant packets.
Do you allow refunds?
No refunds are allowed.

Where will the Results be posted and finalized?
All results will be posted on our website and https://results.chronotrack.com/event/results/event/event-87283
WHAT ARE THE AGE DIVISIONS?
0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Awards are distributed to Overall Male and Female, Overall Male and Female Masters, and the top 3 Male and Female in each division indicated above. Printouts of your finishing time will be available at the Timing trailer. If you place in your age division, please stop by the AWARDS table also located in the Finish Line area. Everyone will also receive a finisher's medal after crossing the finish line.
Will there be a post-race awards ceremony?
No, awards will be available at the AWARDS table in the Finish line area. Awards will not be mailed.
COURSE
5k Run Overview
The flat and fast certified course runs entirely within English Landing and Platte Landing Parks overlooking the Missouri River. The first mile loop of the course is in the original English park area. You then cover a 2.1 mile loop in the Platte Landing park area.
Do you allow participants to use headphones, phones, iPods, etc.?
Although we do not restrict such devices, we strongly discourage their use for safety reasons. If you make a decision to wear a music-playing device during the race, please keep one headphone out of your ear so that you can hear any on-course instruction from race officials.
I love to run with my dog, may I bring him or her to run with me?
No. We love our pets too, but due to safety concerns, pets are not allowed on the course at any time during the race.
Can I bike, rollerblade, roller skate, skateboard, etc. on the course?
No, we do not allow any “wheels” on the race course for safety reasons, other than approved emergency personnel or race officials.
Can I use a stroller for my small children?
This is a family-friendly event for walkers and families with strollers. Strollers and walkers will be asked to start at the back of the line-up for safety purposes.
