Floating body Pendulum Wave Energy Converter

Floating Type Pendulum Wave Energy Converter (FPWEC) Source: https://www.ioes.saga u.ac.jp

Explain the pendulum-type wave power generator in a few words. A schematic illustration of a coastal fixed pendulum-type wave power generator is shown. A pendulum receives wave energy and transmits it to a hydraulic pump, for example, and power is created by running a generator. Because the conversion process is brief, one of the hallmarks of the pendulum-type wave power generator is its high overall conversion efficiency. A floating pendulum-type wave power generator is created by converting a fixed caisson portion into a floating body. When opposed to the fixed type, the floating type has the benefit of being able to minimize the initial cost and relocate in the event of an irregularity such as a tropical storm.
