PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE COMPLETING THE ENCLOSED FORM,
It is the responsibility of judges who were not passed to award their first set of C. C's., prior to 1st July 1998 to complete all the mandatory requirements of the Kennel Club. That is, assessments of show regulations, ring procedure & practical aspects of judging, anatomy, conformation & movement, breed points plus stewarding experience and to advise the Papillon Breed Council / Breed Club without delay so that their questionnaires may be updated accordingly. The Kennel Club may not consider granting permission to award C.C's. until the mandatory requirements have been satisfactorily completed. All judges should make themselves familiar with the K. C. Working Party on Judges report.
This new style questionnaire is for judges who wish to be included in the Papillon Breed Council’s List of Judges and has been produced in line with the current requirements of the Kennel Club. Whilst not every question can be answered by judges applying for a lower List, all will become appropriate when a judge becomes eligible to be considered by The Kennel Club for inclusion on the A2 List or when applying for the A3 List. If any questions cannot be answered at this time the spaces are to be left blank and may be completed later. Thus the Papillon Breed Council / Breed Club will in future need to hold only one form for each Judge
As it was not mandatory for absentees to be recorded at shows prior to Ist January 1995, it is therefore not essential to record the number of Papillons actually judged at shows before this date. However, if records have been kept they should be included.
When supplying information on non-Papillon appointments, only the number of classes of Breed or Variety actual judged at each show is required and not the names and details of each individual breed nor the number of dogs entered or actually judged. Computer printouts or presentations that are not in the form required by the Papillon Breed Council are no longer acceptable.
It is in the interest of all judges to notify the Secretary of the Papillon Breed Council / Breed Club’s of any changes, such as addresses, telephone numbers or inaccuracies that may occur, so that subsequent lists can be amended. Judging Lists cannot be altered during their lifetime.
It is essential for judges at all levels to agree to submit reports on all judging for publication in the canine press and such reports will be in the format required by the same.
Before returning the questionnaire a good quality photocopy should be made as future additions and amendments may be submitted on this.
As the criteria for the judging lists is now common for all the Papillon Breed Clubs ONLY ONE QUESTIONNAIRE should be completed and returned to the Secretary of the Relevant Breed Club.
