Our Story
Since its creation in 1996 the members of Steel Sensation, all being of Caribbean descent made a vow to bring steel band and its entirety to the people of the United States. Since then, the band has made great strides in music and teaching and has placed themselves among the elite steel
bands in New York City.
Our Artists
Steel Sensation works with a diverse range of artists, from up-and-coming performers to internationally renowned performers. The band has made great strides in music under the leadership of their musical director Tristan Japsi.Â
Our Experience
In addition to providing one-of-a-kind live performances for weddings, corporate functions, and other private events, Steel Sensation has made numerous television appearances on The Today Show, Fox & Friends, and various other programs. The band participates in school programs, teaching in various schools and colleges across New York, and takes part in numerous events, concerts, and exhibitions for steel pan.
