About Me

I am currently working as Assistant Professor (Senior Scale, Level – 11) in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at Central Institute of Technology (CIT) Kokrajhar, BTR (Assam), India and joined this institute on March 09, 2015. It is a centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI) under MoE (earlier MHRD), Govt. of India. Now, it has been got the status of Deemed to be university.

I completed my Ph.D. thesis related to Satellite Image Processing area in the Geomatics Engineering Group (CED) at IIT Roorkee (Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee) on July 06, 2015. My research topic was focused on Efficient Hybrid Classification of Urban Objects using High Resolution satellite images. Dr. R. D. Garg, Professor, Geomatics Engineering Group (CED), IIT Roorkee was my supervisor under whom I carried out my PhD thesis work.   

I pursued the Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in the specialization of Intelligent System (IS) from IIIT (Indian Institute of Information Technology) Allahabad during 2006-2008. IS specialization is concerned with the Artificial Intelligence based system controlling and planning decision in autonomous manner. It makes perfect machine learning capabilities in artificial intelligence manner as much as Human can do. It covers cognitive science with the soft computing techniques to learn the human behaviour for AI Agent in Artificial Intelligence system. AI Robotics and programming is also an another aspect to understand the degree of freedom of human. Data mining and Information retrieval system is also a part of this course for language processing to extract the knowledge and Text mining respectively. I have worked on various  various project during my MTech such as Fleximote design, License plate recognition using Image processing and RFID technologies, Autonomous controlled vehicle, Lie detection on EEG data, Data Aggregation in WSN (Wireless sensor network). These all are emerging research areas which includes different technologies. Dr. Shekhar Verma (Professor) and Dr. Manish kumar (Associate Professor), Department of Information Technology, IIIT Allahabad were my supervisors under whom I carried out my M.Tech dissertation work.   

After completing the M.Tech, I worked as Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at SEC, Dundlod, Rajasthan and IET Alwar, Rajasthan during 2008 to 2009 before joining PhD programme at IIT Roorkee.

I received B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering from HITM, Agra (Previously known as BMAS Engg. College, Agra (SGI)) and affiliated to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra (U.P.) in 2003. After completing the B.E. degree, I worked as Lecturer in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at various institutes during 2003-2006.

I was a Guest Editor of of INDER SCIENCE JOURNAL “International Journal of Computational Systems Engineering”,  Special Issue on “Biomedical Signal and Imaging Trends and Artificial Intelligence Developments”.

I am an active reviewer of several journals and conferences such as IEEE (JSTARS, TGRS),  Springer (SIVP, JISRS, MTA) Elsevier (Computers and Geosciences, CVIU), Taylor & Francis (IJRS. IJDE, GI) and many more also. 

I was also a member in many Conferences and workshops committee in India.
