Q: Do I need to be a Penn State Alumnus to be a Chapter member?

A: No. Any supporter of Penn State can become a member.

Q: Do I need to live in Columbia, SC to be a member?

A: No. Membership is not limited to only residents of Columbia; however, most of our events occur in the greater Columbia area. 

Q: I am a member of the national Penn State Alumni Association, does this make me a member of the Columbia Chapter?

A: Yes! Penn State Alumni Association membership now connects you to a network of more than 700,000 Penn Staters worldwide including all affiliate groups, chapters, and interest groups. 

Q: What is the cost to become a member of the Columbia chapter?

A: Membership is now being done through the National Penn State Alumni Association. There are several options for joining including annual and life membership plans. You can find more information here. 

Q: Where does the chapter watch Penn State Football games?

A: We have viewing parties for each game. We have a new location this year. We will be at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant. The address is 945 Sabal St, Columbia, SC 29201.
