IMPORTANT NOTICES: The Board of Directors would like to remind each homeowner of the following:
1. It is required by the Association’s governing documents that you receive approval, in advance, prior to performing any exterior change to your property. Such changes include but are not limited to adding a deck, patio, fence, landscaping (tree removal), lighting, storm door and/or painting. Please contact The Management Group Association (TMGA) at 301-948-6666, extension 125, if you need an Architectural Improvement Request Application to complete. Please keep in mind that the review process can take up to 60 days, so please plan in advance.
2. Streetlights that are located in the single-family sections of the community are along County-maintained streets and, therefore, are maintained by Montgomery County. If you notice any light problems along County roadways, you may contact TMGA at 301-948-6666 (extension 125) so that we can contact Montgomery County, or you may call Montgomery County directly at 240-777-0311. As an alternative, if you have the pole number or address where the light is located, you can also report the light outage on the Montgomery County website at: http://www2.montgomerycountymd.gov/dot-streetlight.
Streetlights located along streets in the town-home sections of the community are the responsibility of the Association to maintain. If you notice a problem with any of these lights, please contact TMGA (301-948-6666, extension 125) so that we may issue a work order to have the repairs made.
3. As a reminder, all pet owners are required by Montgomery County law to clean up after their pets when off their owners’ property. This law applies to dogs and cats. In addition, Montgomery County Law requires all pets to be on a leash and accompanied by a responsible individual when off their owners’ property. Enforcement of this law is handled through the Department of Animal Control and the Montgomery County Police Department, Division of Animal Services. Failure to do so can result in significant fines, up to $250.00 per occurrence. If you own a pet, please make sure that all individuals responsible for it are aware of this law. Residents who wish to report a violation may contact Montgomery County directly at 240-773-5960.
4. Trash and Recycling – As a reminder, Potomac Disposal picks up household trash on Mondays and Montgomery County picks up trash and recycling on Thursdays.
Trash should be placed at the curb for collection no earlier than 7:00 p.m. on the night before collection. If your trash is missed occasionally, please call Potomac Disposal directly at 301-294-9700 or Montgomery County at 240-777-6410. If it happens frequently, please let us know.
Note: If a holiday falls on a Monday, Potomac Disposal will collect trash on Tuesday (the next day). The County will pick up recyclables and trash on Friday after all holidays this year, rather than on Thursday.
Please do not store your trashcans in front of the home or where they are in public view.
5. Parking – Please do not park vehicles in such a way that they overhang onto the sidewalks. Parking vehicles where they overhang the sidewalk into the street is illegal. Montgomery County Police can ticket your vehicle up to $500 for this violation. This is not only a County law, but it is also a safety hazard and presents a potentially dangerous situation as it forces pedestrians (adults, children, pets) to walk around the vehicle and into the street. Please refer to the chart below for other violations you will be ticketed for:
