Purpose
The purpose of this web site is to provide a means of communications for Tuesday Paddle Group such as Paddling, Hiking and Camping primarily in the Central and Central West Coast areas of Florida.

Withlacoochee River
Hwy 48 to Carlson Landing (Wysong Dam)
Meet at small private park/boat launch/ parking area on the South West side of Hwy. 48 Withlacoochee river Bridge.(Wynnhaven Riverside RV Park, 8271 W. CR 48, Bushnell,FL---352-793-4744)
This might be the last opportunity for a while to paddle this sections due to the drought. It appears that this side of the dam is doing better than the rest of the river is right now. As always check this site prior to the launch date in case of last minute changes!
Launch Fee Required: $5 ??? Bring Money
Shuttle required: Please arrive in time for shuttle. ( no later than 8:30 AM) to unload and be ready to start shuttle as soon as everyone is ready.
Best to arrive by 8:30 AM .
Bring sun screen, hat, bug spray and usual gear.
Bring Lunch: We will eat at some point during or after the paddle.
Difficulty: Easy to moderate depending on the winds.
Directions: Hwy. 48 Bridge and boat launch is on Page 78 of the Gazetteer.
From the East: Go to Flora City ( Hwy 41 & Hwy 48). Take Hwy 48 East to Bridge , About 4.2 miles.
From the North: Take I-75 South to Hwy 48 exit (Bushnell). Go West on Hwy. 48 to bridge. About 8.5 miles.
Paddle Distance: 10.6 miles
