Paddle Florida with the Tuesday Paddle Group
Purpose
The purpose of this web site is to provide a means of communications for Tuesday Paddle Group such as Paddling, Hiking and Camping primarily in the Central and Central West Coast areas of Florida.

Meet at Rutland Park boat ramp on Hwy 44 about 7 miles East of the intersection of Hwy 41 and Hwy 44 in Inverness . Ramp is about 0.4 miles East of the Hwy 44 Withlacoochee River bridge.
No Shuttle required. Please arrive in time. ( no later than 8:45 AM) to unload and be ready to start paddle as soon as everyone is ready after 8:45 or at 8:45..
Best to arrive around 8:30 AM
After the launch we will paddle up stream to Carlson Landing ( Wysong Dam) Checking out one or more small springs and side streams. Take a short break at the Dam. Turn around, paddle down stream, explore Canal on West side of river just North of Dam ( Brenda's Creek) then return to Hwy 44 put in.
Difficulty: Easy to moderate due to upstream paddling one way.
Directions: Coming from the South take US41 North to Inverness. At Inverness take Hwy 44 East about 7 miles to small park (Rutland Park) and boat ramp. Park will be on the South side of Hwy 44.
Paddle Distance: About 9 to 10 miles
