Pack 896 Spring Campout 2014

Post date: Feb 19, 2014 3:51:53 PM

When: April 25-27

Where: Sumac Bend Camping Area, Tyler State Park, 789 Park Rd 16, Tyler, TX 75706

Tyler State Park is one of the best state parks in Texas, and will make for a perfect Pack Campout! Your entire family is invited to come out for the day or the whole weekend! We have planned an itinerary to allow families to enjoy the many amenities that the park has to offer. The park has restrooms & showers, playgrounds, a store, and more. Extended “Family Time” will be provided so that your family can enjoy fishing, hiking, and all of the activities available at the park. Please RSVP now so that Pack provided supplies can be purchased.

Several tent campsites have been reserved in the Sumac Bend camping area. However, if some members of your family need to stay in a screened shelter or cabin, they may contact the park to reserve one individually if available. Please note, cabins & shelters are in a different area of the park than the Pack’s camp.

The Pack will provide Saturday's breakfast, lunch, & dinner, and breakfast on Sunday. There is a $5.00 entry fee, reimbursable with the form from our website.

Please visit the Tyler State Park Website for store, cabin & shelter information, maps, and a list of activities provided at the park.

In effort to be more resourceful and respectful of the environment, we plan to phase out our use of disposable wares at Pack Campouts. We ask that if you have camping dishes, mess kits, etc., to please bring them for personal use.
